What You'll Do:

As an Overpayment Recovery Analyst , you will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing financial information to identify and establish effective benefit integration and initiates timely overpayment recovery activity.

  • Calculates claim benefits, overpayments based on claim procedures, product design, contract provisions and applicable state/federal laws and regulations. Analyzes prior benefit calculations, including considering adjustments, taxability issues, integration with multiple sources of income and right of recovery.
  • Organizes and effectively manages assigned caseload in close collaboration with claim analysts and other claim team members.
  • Working within guidelines, proactively corresponds directly with claimants, appointed representatives, attorneys or other appropriate parties, to maximize overpayment recovery rate and ensure timely results. From referral through recovery, assesses the claim to determine best course of action seeking guidance/direction as needed.
  • Effectively communicates, verbally and in writing, with claimants regarding collection of overpayments, reimbursement requirements, status of overpayments and all other aspects of the benefit integration process. Responds in a timely manner to claimant concerns and/or questions regarding overpayments. Identifies complex claim scenarios requiring escalation.
  • If recovery efforts are exhausted, determines the need for ongoing overpayment involvement and communicates with identified collection vendors.
  • Prepares accurate and timely entries, posting all necessary data points to the overpayment management tool to ensure accurate financial and workload reporting.
Who You Are:
  • 6+ years of claims experience, customer service experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • A degree in Finance or Economics is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of financial concepts and/or experience working with contracts, particularly Disability contracts, is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Analytic, relationship building, and time management skills preferred.
  • Effective prioritization and decision making skills are also preferred.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $54000 - $98400 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements.
